C-A-P-S CAPS! CAPS! CAPS!

Just a quick note, in case you didn't realize it, hockey season is underway and the Capitals are off to a great start (despite the OT loss in Philly Tuesday night).  If you look at the scoring leaders for the entire league the top five are:

1. Alex Ovechkin, WAS
9
2. Nicklas Backstrom, WAS
8
3. Alexander Semin, WAS
7
4. Brooks Laich, WAS
6
5. Henrik Sedin, VAN
6

Thats right, the Caps have the top 4 scorers in the league to start the season (note the lack of penguins on this list :)), this is unheard of! It's a good sign to see the offense firing on all cylinders so early in the season and let's hope that they can keep it up.  On the other hand, Jose Theodore has also looked in good form, and Varly did until giving up 4 goals against the Flyers in that OT loss before being pulled for Jose.  Regardless the team is looking great, especially the offense. Yes, hockey season has started, so rock the red and lets hope for a good year from the caps, things look promising from the start.

Well I guess I jinxed them tonight :( a 4-3 loss at home to the Rangers, Jose didn't look very good and the defense as a whole didn't either. Ovie didn't tally a single point but the offense still played pretty well. but still, poor defense and goaltending leads to a blown lead and a loss
